Anyone can add some ground meat to sauce to make spaghetti. Meatballs make spaghetti fancy, though! So get a little crazy and try meatballs. No one will complain.
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 t. Italian seasoning
1 t. garlic salt
1/2 t. pepper
Combine all the meatball ingredients into a bowl and squish around with your hands to combine. Get a nonstick skillet preheated to medium high. Make balls out of the meat (about golf ball sized) and throw them into the skillet. Make enough balls to fill the skillet. Turn all of the balls to brown on all sides (turn them 4 or 5 times). The point is to brown the outside of the meatball. Place the meatballs on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Repeat the ball making and browning until all your meat is used. Place browned meatballs in a 375 degree oven for 20-30 minutes or until the centers are no longer pink.
Serve over noodles with your favorite sauce. Leftovers make a mean sandwich!
You can really add whatever seasoning you like. I added about a 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan to these and it was wonderful!
