UPDATED: July 2020
Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) strives to ensure that its services are accessible to people with disabilities. feelgoodfoodie.net has invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that its website is made easier to use and more accessible for people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
I am continuously improving the accessibility of my website for people with disabilities. If you find that I am not meeting your requirements, I hope you can let me know by sending me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I will make every reasonable effort to make this page accessible. I kindly ask you to understand that I’m not a big business with employees. I will do my best to work on the accessibility of my website as fast as I can, but your patience is appreciated.
Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services in the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible and unhindered use also for those of us with disabilities.
Despite my efforts to make all pages and content on Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.
I am aware of some areas on the website where I must improve accessibility. I am currently working to achieve this. I hope that this website will achieve “Level AA” conformance to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by December 2020.
Star ratings: As of now, my recipe rating system can’t be accessed by keyboard. I have contacted the developer of the recipe plugin I’m using on Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) and we are working on a solution. I’m hopeful a keyboard accessible rating system will be able to go live by September 2020– please bear with us as we continue to improve the functionality.
Images: All my photos include alt-text describing accurately what the image is about. If you have problems reading the photos or find any that are missing, please send me a message at email@example.com
Audit: I have been in touch with an accessibility auditor and will be scheduling an audit of Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) shortly to learn which further areas need to be improved to reach accessibility standards on this website.
Closed Captioning: The vast majority of the videos on Bless this Mess do not include speaking and we are actively working on adding closed captioning to all videos (even those with music only).
If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on Bless this Mess (www.blessthismessplease.com) or require assistance with any part of my site, please contact me and I will be happy to assist as soon as possible.
