Recipe FAQs

Can I make breakfast sandwiches without a stovetop?

Yes! You can make the eggs for this sandwich in the microwave instead. Simply whisk your eggs in a microwave safe bowl or cup. Microwave them for about 30 seconds at a time and stir in between each interval. Continue cooking the eggs 30 seconds at a time until the eggs are cooked to your liking. Assemble your sandwich and enjoy!

What bread can I use for breakfast sandwiches?

Use whatever you have on hand! One of the best parts about this breakfast sandwich is that you can make it different each time. If you don’t have English muffins you can also use a croissant, whole grain bread, a bagel, or sandwich thins. Any kind of bread will taste amazing and work for this recipe!

Can I make a breakfast sandwich without eggs?

Absolutely! You can use an egg substitute, egg whites only, or tofu scramble. There are many ways to mix and match ingredients to make your ideal sandwich. You can use mashed avocado or hummus to give you a similar texture and add more substance to your sandwich.

Why is my breakfast sandwich getting soggy?

If you find that your sandwich is becoming soggy, it is most likely that you assembled the sandwich while all of the ingredients were still hot and steaming, or you did not toast the English muffin. If you wait until the eggs and sausage are not steaming, they will not add moisture to the bread. Toasting the English muffin will create a barrier between the eggs and bread, which will also prevent excess moisture.
