I’m here to tell you about the richest, most decadent chocolate and peanut butter dessert that you will ever meet: The Ultimate Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie Sundae.
Just imagine the most perfectly rich and moist brownie with peanut butter swirled on topped, smooth cold ice cream, and chopped Reese’s cups. But the magic doesn’t stop there. It isn’t just drizzled with any old hot fudge, it’s topped with peanut butter hot fudge you’ll be tempted to drink for breakfast. Dessert just got taken to a whole new level.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Sundaes
Chocolate peanut butter brownies & vanilla ice cream drenched in a homemade peanut butter hot fudge sauce makes for a totally over the top and fun treat. There is never a bad way to eat a brownie, but trust me when I tell you that you need to make this sundae.
This showstopper sundae would be a delicious dessert for Sunday dinner or to celebrate a special occasion. It has all of the classic sundae vibes with the yummiest peanut butter twist.
In order to cut down on the preparation time, I like to bake the brownies and make the hot fudge ahead of time. Then it only takes a few minutes to assemble the sundae and you are ready to dive in.
What is the best chocolate to use for homemade brownies?
I use the Ghirardelli’s 100% cocoa bars found in the baking aisle for the unsweetened chocolate. Man, it’s good!
Does hot fudge need to be refrigerated?
Make sure that your hot fudge is completely cooled before putting it in an airtight container and placing in the refrigerator. The hot fudge will last up to 2 weeks. Simply reheat when you are ready to use the hot fudge again.
How long should I let brownies cool before cutting them?
I know that it is so tempting to jump into freshly baked brownies, but if you want a really crisp, clean cut line you need to wait until the brownies are completely cooled. This typically takes about 30 minutes and an abundance of self control.

This looks AMAZING! I love peanut butter but don't have any at the moment. Just wondering if you could substitute the peanut butter for nutella in the fudge sauce?
