Cook perfect Shake and Bake Pork Chops at home with this easy recipe! Crispy Italian breadcrumb coating and juicy tender meat using just 5 simple ingredients. Better than store-bought!
Pat your pork chops dry with a paper towel and then rub them down with olive oil.
Add the salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs to a large ziplock bag and give it a quick shake. Add your pork chops and shake again until the pork chops are evenly coated in breadcrumbs.
Place your pork chops on a baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
Notes
Recipe Substitutions & Variations:
A combination of plain breadcrumbs and ½ tablespoon of Italian seasoning can be substituted for the Italian breadcrumbs.
You can also use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness, or even crushed cornflakes or crackers of any flavor.
Bone-in chops may require an additional 5-10 minutes of cooking time depending on thickness.
Serving Suggestions: Classic comfort food sides work wonderfully - try mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables like broccoli or green beans, corn on the cob, or roasted potatoes. For a lighter option, consider a fresh salad or steamed cauliflower to balance the crispy, hearty pork chops.Storing & Reheating: You can store your leftover pork chops in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat your pork chops in the microwave for about 45 seconds, or until hot in the middle. It is important to note that your pork chops are going to dry out when you reheat them. I personally don’t enjoy a reheated pork chop in general so I just make enough for the meal without leftovers!
