Quick and easy Homemade Ground Beef Stroganoff is an easy dinner that the whole family will love, made with ground beef, mushrooms, and sour cream, and done in less than 30 minutes.
Hot cooked egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
In a large skillet or dutch oven over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, but don't be afraid to let it brown up nicely on the bottom before stirring.
When the ground beef is cooked through, add the salt and mushrooms. Cook for 3 minutes.
Add the flour, and cook for 1 minute, stirring often.
Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, and stir to combine. Let the mixture cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat, and stir in the sour cream and parsley. Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.
Serve right away on hot cooked egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Notes
You can use white button mushrooms, but if you can find them, I recommend getting "baby bella" mushrooms. They have a great texture and taste.
Stroganoff pairs well with hot cooked egg noodles, mashed potatoes, or a heap of rice.
This is a great make-ahead meal that will keep for 3-4 days in the fridge or up to 4 months in the freezer.
I like using ground beef for stroganoff because it's easier for little ones to eat with the smaller pieces.
