Make perfectly seasoned Lemon Pepper Porkchops on the grill with this easy recipe. Juicy, flavorful, and on the table in 30 minutes - your new weeknight dinner favorite!
Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with lemon pepper seasoning. (Just be as liberal as you want - the strength of the seasoning is up to you!)
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over the pork chops. Flip the pork chops and squeeze the other half of the lemon over the other side of the pork chops.
Spray or drizzle both sides of the chops with olive oil.
Cook the pork chops on the preheated grill until the chop has dark brown grill marks and releases easily from the grate, about 3 minutes. Rotate the chops 90° and cook 2 minutes more.
Flip the chops and grill 2 minutes, then rotate the chops 90° and cook about 2 minutes longer.
Insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of the chops to see if they are cooked to 145°, or cook until the center is no longer pink.
Let meat rest, covered in foil, for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Lemon Pepper Seasoning: I like McCormick’s California Style Lemon Pepper seasoning. It's a blend of lemon, coarsely ground black pepper, salt, onion, and a little garlic. If you want to make your own, combine dried lemon peel, black pepper, sea salt, dried thyme leaves, garlic powder, and onion powder — see exact measurements above.Cooking Pork Safely: If you know that your grill cooks evenly, you can follow guidelines for grilling on each side for 4-5 minutes depending on thickness. Of course, bone in or thicker pork chops can take longer. Just make sure that your pork is heated to at minimum 145° internally and allow it to rest for an additional 5 minutes, covered in foil, for safety. You’ll have perfectly moist and safe to eat pork chops every time!Grill Tip: Make sure your grill grates are clean every time before using. When you have food residue from past grilling, it will prevent the food from releasing easily. I clean my grill after using it while it's still hot. I love that it's ready for the next impromptu grilling time!
