Utilizing the air fryer to cook steak yields a juicy and evenly cooked result, with its rapid hot air circulation ensuring a crisp exterior and tender interior.
While the air fryer is preheating, rub down each steak with olive oil and Montreal seasoning. Top each steak with minced garlic and place them in the air fryer basket. Cook for 14 minutes.
Allow your steaks to rest in the air fryer basket for 5 minutes once they have finished cooking.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
You can make your own Montreal seasoning by combining equal parts salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and coriander (if you have it).
This steak is best served fresh; however, you can store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat them in the microwave.
Make sure your steak reaches an internal temperature of 145°F before serving it.
While we used New York strip steaks, you can use any cut of steak for this recipe.
No matter what cut you use, the cook time will be about the same. You may need to add a few minutes to your cook time depending on the thickness of your steak, but 14 minutes is a great starting point for any cut.
If you do not have fresh garlic, you can use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
