Spinach Lasagna is a classic Italian dish takes a healthy twist with the addition of fresh spinach, making it a satisfying and flavorful choice for any occasion. With the convenience of oven-ready lasagna noodles, this recipe comes together effortlessly.
Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch glass baking dish with oven-ready lasagna noodles.
Top the noodles with enough pasta sauce to cover the noodles followed by a third of the ricotta and mozzarella.
Scatter half of the spinach over the top of the cheese followed by a few more spoonfuls of pasta sauce.
Repeat the layering process again. Finish by topping the dish with the remaining pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese, and the parmesan cheese.
Cover the baking dish with tin foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
We like to serve this lasagna with some fresh parsley and a sprinkle of extra parmesan.
You can prep this dish ahead of time and store it in the fridge covered with plastic wrap for up to 24 hours before baking it. Once ready to bake, follow the regular directions.
I like to use oven-ready noodles to cut down on prep time, but you can use regular lasagna noodles as well.
If you are using regular marinara sauce, add 1 ½ teaspoons of garlic powder, dried basil, and oregano to the sauce.
