One bite and you will realize the magic of 7 Layer Bars. Layered with all the good things: graham crackers, chocolate, white chocolate, butterscotch chips, pecans, coconut and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk to top it off. These bars are super easy, rich and will hit the spot!
1 1/2cupsgraham cracker crumbs(one package/sleeve or 9 sheets of crackers)
1cansweetened condensed milk(14 oz.)
1/2cupchocolate chips
1/2cupwhite chocolate chips
1/2cupbutterscotch chips
1cupshredded coconut
1cuppecanschopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Crush the graham crackers (you can crush them right in their sleeve they came in if you don't do it too aggressively) taking care that they are all crushed to small pieces, chunks of cracker crumbs will cause your bars to fall apart. Spread graham cracker crumbs evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Pour the butter evenly over the graham cracker crumbs in the pan and give it a little stir to coat evenly. Using your hand or the bottom of a measuring cup, press the crumbs into the bottom of the pan.
Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crumb layer.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and butterscotch chips evenly over the sweetened condensed milk.
Sprinkle with shredded coconut and then the chopped pecans. Gently press these layers into the pan.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the coconut is lightly browned. Cool before cutting.
Store loosely covered at room temperature.
Notes
The fun part about magic cookie bars is they are super flexible, don't like something, omit it or sub it for something else. The graham crackers, butter, and sweetened condensed milk are the only nonnegotiable, everything else you can play with. We'll often add M&M's to the top instead of nuts.
