Instructions
Prep the banana by peeling it, slicing it into 1/4 inch pieces, placing it on a plate or in a container lined with parchment paper and freezing for 20-30 minutes. I'll often just keep frozen bananas in the freezer so that this step is done and I can make my acai bowls whenever I'm ready for them.
When the banana is ready add the banana, frozen mixed berries, acai puree (break it into pieces to help it blend easier) and milk to the jar of a high powered blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth, stopping to stir as needed. If you need to add a little more liquid you can but it's best to stop and stir instead of adding more liquid so that the acai bowls stay nice and thick in texture.
Divide the smoothie mixture between two bowls and top with your favorite toppings (we love granola, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds, etc.).
Enjoy right away.
Notes
You can add 1/2 cup of yogurt to the blender before mixing to make the bowls even thicker if you'd like
You can add a scoop of protein powder or collagen to the mixture before blending if you'd like
