Experience the ultimate comfort food bliss with our Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan! Crispy, golden chicken breasts topped with savory marinara sauce and gooey melted cheese, all made healthier with the magic of air frying.
Dip each slice of chicken in the flour and set aside.
Beat your eggs in a shallow baking dish. Dip your flour-coated chicken in the eggs followed by the breadcrumbs.
Cool 3 pieces of chicken at a time in the air fryer for 12 minutes at 390. Flip the chicks halfway through.
Once the chicken is finished cooking, top the chicken with marinara sauce and one slice of mozzarella and then cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Repeat with remaining chicken. You can keep the finished chicken warm in an oven set to 200 degrees F.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Slicing your chicken in half will help it cook faster since it will be thinner. If you don’t slice your chicken then the outside will finish cooking much faster than the middle of the chicken.
You can use regular Panko breadcrumbs with 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning mixed in.
If you don’t have fresh mozzarella or can’t find any at your grocery store then feel free to use shredded mozzarella cheese.
You can use any kind of marinara sauce in this recipe. We typically use garlic and basil red sauce, but anything will work. This can be an easy way to customize the flavor of your chicken parm a little bit.
Dipping your chicken in flour before eggs will help the egg adhere better which will in turn help the bread crumbs stay secure.
Make sure your chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
