In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, and grated ginger if using. Whisk together until well combined.
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in a shallow baking dish lined with parchment paper. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is evenly coated.
Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Baking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
If desired, garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving. Serve your honey glazed salmon with cooked rice and steamed vegetables if you'd like.
Notes
I really like the wild caught salmon from Costco that comes frozen and in individually frozen pieces. That way I can thaw the amount I need for dinner without the rest getting freezer burn.
If you are using a large salmon fillet you can prepare this in the same way. Use a 2 pound salmon filet and coat it well with the sauce and bake until flakey, it might take a few more minutes to cook through.
You can use the ginger if you have it but it's also really good without it so just use what you like or have on hand.
