Cheese Crackers are crispy, golden delights that are not only incredibly delicious but also surprisingly easy to make.
In a food processor, blend sharp cheddar, flour, chilled butter, and salt until it forms a sandy texture.
Drizzle in 3 tablespoons of ice water while blending until a dough forms.
Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll and Cut: Roll out the chilled dough to ¼ inch thickness, cut into desired shapes, and poke a hole in each with a toothpick.
Place shaped dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Let the crackers cool briefly on the sheet, then transfer them to a wire rack for complete cooling and extra crispiness.
