Combine the drumsticks and buttermilk in a large mixing bowl. Fold the ingredients together a few times to ensure the chicken is fully coated. Set aside.
In a smaller bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepepr, paprika, and garlic powder.
Gently dip and roll each piece of chicken in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess. Set aside.
Heat the oil in a large pot. Cook the chicken in the hot oil until it’s golden brown and no longer pink in the middle.
