My cookies spread out and melted together. I assume that the ball wasn’t small enough and/or the dough had warmed up too much?

Can you use tapioca flour or arrowroot instead of cornstarch?

My cookies broke up and didn’t flatten out at all in oven. I gently pressed them and they brok all around the edges. Good taste but not pretty
