Too much sugar, too mcuh baking powder. It more resembles a corn muffin recipe.

I agree about the baking powder, I&#039;ve made a lot of Irish recipes that called for baking powder (cakes, breads etc) and it&#039;s VERY easy to use to too much just by going by the recipe. I learned that lesson the hard way, so congratulations on your beautiful recipe.]]></description>
