These were awesome cookies!
Easy to make. I ran out of molasses. Only had 1/2 cup. So I substituted 1/4 cup honey and 1/4 cup real maple syrup for the other 1/2 cup of molasses. "I" could taste the honey, but everyone else didn't notice.
Great hit, Sunday school class decorated them!!

Hi! I chose this recipe because we share the same name lol But I didn't think these would be the most amazing and popular cookies I have ever made. I have received dozens of requests to make them again from family, friends, neighbors and coworkers. I enjoy baking what I love and I have stuck to this recipe for years!! I just wanted to say thank you!

You can just freeze it in a big ball and thaw it overnight in the fridge or it takes about 2 hours at room temp to be able to roll it out.
