I’m taking the day off to be with family. We’ve had some miracles and heartache come our way this past week. Today we’ll go celebrate a new life and say formal farewells to one that ended so quickly. Trying times like these are when I look inside myself and take inventory. Am I who I want to be? Am I doing all I should? What are my real goals and how am I getting to them?
I enjoy reading many blogs but a few really get me thinking. They are inspiring blogs that focus a lot on motherhood and personal development. I thought I’d share them with you today.
1. The Power Of Mom – Subscribe to their RSS feed to just see what they have coming in. All different types of articles, written by many different people come through and shine. You will find heartfelt stories and questions for personal evaluation at the end of every post. I have just loved reading their articles and I think you might too.
2. Hands Free Mama – I like her posts fine, but what I really love is the idea behind it all. This woman has decided to live a person-centered life free of distractions. Her philosophy and ideals are wonderful food for thought. If you don’t have time to check out her whole blog just look at a few of the tabs at the top to get an idea of what she believes in. Super interesting.
3. 71 Toes – This is actually just a family blog but the woman is a phenomenal mother. Reading it makes you want to try harder. She is cute but real. She has some wonderful family traditions (that you can find via her buttons at the top of her page) that I just adore. I have even started doing a few of her ideas in my family. She writes a letter to each of her children on Mother’s Day telling them how much she loves them. What a treasure! I started that this year and plan to do it always. You feel a bit stalkerish when reading, but I’m pretty sure you aren’t the only one…
There you have it, some lovely thoughts when life is hard.
Do you have any blogs similar to these that you adore and are inspired by? I’d love to hear!
