Made something similar years ago and learned 2 things. First, make sure that the roof covering on the run is dog proof – we lost 20 chickens after a dog got into one of our runs through the roof which was lightweight nylon mesh and bird proof but not dog proof – and secondly if you put wheels at one end of the run you can move it far more easily. Ours was 8’x8′ with sort of folding handles at one end and wheels – we used old pram wheels – at the other and it could then be moved by just one person if needed. Useful if your husband works away from home like mine did.
