The yogurt I used for the culture, Stoneyfield) was the bottom of the container and about to be expired.  I left the heat on for an extra hour, as I was distracted.  I knew it would be a miracle if this batch turned out.  It came out about the thickness of Kiefer. Would it be safe to use as such?]]></description>

I have not. I&#039;m not sure of the protein structure of that milk. Are people making yogurt in general with lactose free milk? If they are I think it would totally work but if in generally using lactose free milk in yogurt making doesn&#039;t work out, that would apply here too.]]></description>
