DO NOT put the leftover pretzel crumbs on your cooked chicken. They have been contaminated by the raw chicken and will not have had the bacteria baked off. You could put them on a separate pan and bake them (not sure if they would burn), but it’s dangerous to eat them after they touched raw meat. Washing the chicken does not solve this issue either, in fact washing meat is considered more hazardous because of the splashing water and bacteria. Otherwise the recipe sounds good.

Just tried my third chicken recipe only I didn't have any drumsticks. I had two large chicken breasts which I split in two and then thirds so I had 12 pieces of chicken. My husband bought tidbits instead of crushed pineapple so I put them through my food processor. The sauce was quite thick, halfway through I realized that I better brush the sauce off the chicken so I did plus added 2 tablespoons of water. My picky husband just loved this Hawaiian recipe. I added a squirt of soya sauce to my plate of rice served picky husband Don Don noodles since he won't eat rice. I got the chiken on sale so it was reasonable to take a chance,, about $5.50. A five star dinner for sure, and my third one from this site.

I love that you used a pretzel coating! I've never tried it, but I definitely want to now. Especially after you mentioned dipping it in honey mustard - yum! Thanks for sharing!
