Congratulations on your ribbons! Your photos are fabulous (and so are the flowers and foods!)! I love the county fair and have won a few ribbons for my photos. What I really love, though, is the tractor parade, with all its lovingly cared-for antique tractors. But I missed it this year because I was in your neck of the woods visiting the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce for the first time in my life. Oh my, how lovely! What a lovely event and the home made items all look incredible…I would have spent a fortune had I been there! I especially love the picture of the jars in the window – I struggle to get hold of the big jars like that over here in England but when I do I fill them with brightly coloured pulses and even pretty stones from our local beach – so pretty.

We have village fairs and country shows over here too with a similar feel…….I won third prize for three sweet pea stems in our village flower show this year! Yay!

Anyway, thank you Melissa for another fascinating read.

I have tons of windows in my home and well over 600 Ball and Kerr jars but they sure don’t evoke the feelings from seeing your photo.
