Chemical free Oven Cleaner

So the big move is a mere 4 weeks away.  So today I cleaned my oven and cabinet fronts.  Sure I’ll have to rewipe, but the major work is done!  I’ve been interested in more natural cleaners for a while, and I figure there is no better time to test them!  After some research I decided on this oven cleaner because mine was GROSS!   It worked really well combined with some elbow grease.

Oven Cleaner
1 cup salt
1 cup baking soda
1 cup water

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and mix to create a thick paste.  Spread paste all over the inside of your oven (or where it is really dirty).  Close the door and heat your oven to 500 degrees for one hour.  Let cool and then scrub clean with steel wool!
