In reply to Deborah. Yessss, it's SO good with potatoes I almost always add them. I normally do 1 inch cubes and bump the timing up to 3 minutes of cook time in the IP.

This has been my go-to broccoli soup recipe for years now. I just made it again and felt compelled to rate it. It has such a great flavor. I didn’t have any dried chili flakes so I used a scant 1/8th tsp or so of cayenne. Sometimes I have no half and half and use evaporated milk. It always turns out. This recipe is a keeper!

This turned out so tasty! I did have to make a couple of changes… I didn’t have carrots, so I used a cup from a bag of frozen mixed veggies (carrots, peas, corn, beans). I used a small amount of potato starch to thicken. I will definitely make this again!

Our neighbor gave us a giant bag of broccoli florettes so I made this one and a half times the recipe and I didn’t change anything besides just how much I made, and wow! Was this ever delicious! Thank you so much! Oh, I used heavy cream for my choice at the end.
